Various Methods of branding Promotional Key rings

The two most common branding methods is pad printing and laser engraving. Almost 90% of our orders have used these two printing methods. Below are more detail information on these two printing methods.

Pad Printing – Promotional Pad Printed Key chains

Pad Printed branded key rings can perfectly match your logo colours. The branding process include pad printing one colour on the promotional key tag wait till it dry out then follow by another colour. It is the most economical way to brand keyrings. It can apply to both metal or plastic key chains. Pantone Colours are available with your choice, usually all the promotional keyrings are available to print with up to 3 colours. Things to be aware of:

Advantages

·         It is the most budgeted Print method.

·         You can choose any print colour from the PMS colour chart.

Disadvantages

·         Pad Printed key chains with corporate logo or texts on them will get fade off or scratch off over time.

·         It is not a recommended method for smooth surface such as metal, as the fade off speed will be faster than normal.

·         Cannot print small detail of the logo

·         Cannot print image quality pictures

Laser Engraving (Engraved Metal promotional keyrings)

Laser Engraving is another popular branding method besides Pad Printing Key Tags. This branding method use high density Laser light etches to the surface of the promotional key chains, resulting in an image or texts. It used a digital machine and directed by a computer software that can ensure the high accuracy of the print result on the branded key rings. The same as pad printing, Laser engraving also has its pros and cons when compare with pad printing key chains:

Advantages:

·         It is a permanent long lasting branding method that will offer a long lasting print result on the custom key chains.

·         It is a very classy luxury professional finish result when compare with pad printing.

·         It is possible to engraved very fine detail on the promotional key rings.

Negatives:

·         There is no choice of colours, the print result will depend on the base colour of the metal.

·         Normally it is only apply on metal surface, most of the plastic surface is not applicable.

Digital Print Customised keytags (Full colour picture quality print keychains)

The print result of Digital full colour print keyrings is similar to what you see from your printer. There are two methods to perform the digital print. The first one which is also the one we would highly recommend is having a full colour printed photo encased in the small cavity of the promotional key rings. This method only available on certain type of branded key chains. However, the print result will be fantastic, not only it maintained the quality of the photo, but all the small details in the photo will be well presented.

The Second method is having the full colour print on top of the surface of a plastic promotional key chain. However, this method will result in losing some detail and sharpness of the image.
