Promotional metal keyrings can be laser engraved or pad printed. The effect of laser engraving looks similar to say the engraving on the back of a watch. The effect of a metal engraved logo is very classy. Better still it is permanant. The only way in which the logo can come off would be intense grinding of the steel.

Other than engraving pad printing is a possibility. However with pad printing the log can come off quite easily. Realistically with pad printing the branding will begin to chip after 3 months. If it was handed out to students or to children who may have a tendency to fidget and rub then the print can start chipping within 2 weeks. Its a relatively new process which has been made immensely popular through Apple’s range of Ipod Nano where bright funky colours adorn their range of miniature ipods. This process of colouring metal is very hardy and cant be scratched off easily. Promotional keyrings. We all know what they are and what they do. However did you know that a lot of thought and design goes into the design of even the most basic and plain keyrings? For starters the keyrings mush have a metal compound which is neither to strong or to lose. Too strong and the metal cannot loop around a key. Too week and the keyring falls apart. To create this “just right,”structure a high tensile steel is used so that the tension on the metal is just right. Some of this metal is even found in suspensions. With steal this material can oxidise and eventually rust. Therefore most keyrings are further coated with a substance called chromium. So a simple custom keyring is not as simple as it seems. A lot of effort goes into making a product work just right for you!

2) Light Bulbs - These are what traditional promotional torch keyrings have been made from. Made from a traditional bulb where the internal bulb is encased in a vaccum space with electricty running through electrodes to produce light. These have a shorter lifespan than LED when used in a promotional keyring. However it does produce an appealing soft yellow light and the novely factor is much much higher than LED bulbs.
